I thank God for His touch upon you both physically and mentally. I was about to have my third surgery for kidney stones and got to the point of asking folks to pray for mental as opposed to physical healing. I knew that once the mind was intact, the body would be in synch. God was on the case and He used two doctors - Stone and Raker. With names like that and given my situation, how could one not laugh?

Belated birthday greetings as well. No doubt that this will be among some of the most memorable and grateful years God has given you. Regarding the inspiration - great point. I have been told by many people to keep working on the projects. With my writing of books - once I get to a certain point - usually about the 20,000 word mark (about 25% complete for my books) - the desire to complete it takes over. Another part of my personality is that I am motivated by achievement and accomplishment. Once I get 25% of it done I push to make myself complete it.

I wish that carried over into household cleaning projects. I have gotten the house 25% clean four times in the last three weeks and stopped there. It recently got to the point where Weezer was so annoyed with the vacuum cleaner being out for me to use that she wished, out loud, "I hope the vacuuming will be finished soon."

As much fun as it would be to have an obstacle course in my house I am the only one who thought my response about it was funny. Actually, I get that a lot. I think I'm hilarious but am often the only one laughing.Sheela Daleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09101452001422638045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636268169286918145.post-35231248744918970112010-09-03T11:51:01.586-04:002010-09-03T11:51:01.586-04:00Aside from the company of the people I saw it with...Aside from the company of the people I saw it with "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" falls into the category of "disappointments". It did not live up to the movie - but how could it, really? There is only one Dick Van Dyke!

I have only seen The Miracle of Christmas at Sight & Sound - but thought it was fantastic. I should have put in a "Holiday" category for shows and listed that one. It is WAY better than the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular and I would love to see it draw the same crowds as that one does.

I have heard great things about Sight & Sound and should make a point to get to some of their productions.
